Kim Sunwoo (Hangul: 김선우), better known as Sunwoo (Hangul: 선우), was born in Busan, South Korea on April 12, 2000. He is the main rapper and vocalist of the South Korean boy group THE BOYZ.

Early Life[]
Kim Sunwoo was born in Busan, South Korea on April 12, 2000.
Sunwoo attended Hanlim Multi Arts School (graduated: February 12, 2019) where he formed the independent music crew NAMED LATE with his friends in his class: Giuk (of ONEWE), Woobin (of LUMINOUS) and RARE (aka Jihoon), with the later addition of their maknae Gray Dot.[1][2] NAMED LATE are currently active on SoundCloud as well as by featuring in and/or participating in the production of official releases from the members.
2017: High School Rapper, and debut with The Boyz[]
In January, Sunwoo took part as a contestant in High School Rapper, but was eliminated early in the competition.
On July 18, Sunwoo was announced as the third member of THE BOYZ, with his DAZED Profile Film released on the same day.[3][4]
On December 6, Sunwoo officially debuted as a member of THE BOYZ. He and his members released the debut mini album The First, featuring the title track "소년 (Boy)".
