The B (Hangul: 더비), pronounced as Deobi in Korean, is the official fandom name for the South Korean boy group THE BOYZ. The name was announced on April 4th, 2018.
History[]
Cre.ker Entertainment asked fans to vote through a poll what the fans wanted the fandom name to be. The Boyz fanclub name contest was held from February 14 - April 4 2018, meanwhile the voting period was held on March 10 - March 31 2018. The selected name candidates were:
- Allwayz (올웨이즈): THE BOYZ and fans will always walk together
- Deodeok (더덕): Cute nickname to call the fans that will give strength
- The B (더비): Abbreviation for vitamin of THE BOYZ
- The Fanz (더 팬즈): The fans of THE BOYZ
*It is said that 'Allwayz' was a leading candidate at the time of filming Mission The Boyz in Macau.
**The 5th candidate was originally "MUZ" (뮤즈), but it was excluded because it overlapped with another fandom.
Official Light Stick[]
On March 19, 2021, THE BOYZ has released an image saying 'THE BOYZ OFFICIAL LIGHT STICK COMING SOON' on official Twitter.[1] On March 20, 2021, THE BOYZ had a V Live named 'Unboxing the light stick'.[2]
